Rwenzori Mountain Range

The Rwenzoris are often referred to as the Mountains of the Moon, as mentioned by Ptolemy in AD150. But there is no firm evidence for this association.
The range is about 120 km wide at its broadest point and its highest peak, Mount Stanley, rises to 5,109 metres and is permanently covered in snow.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Located 1,150 to 2,600 metres above sea level, the forest in the Virunga Mountains is one of the most biologically diverse areas in the world. What is more, Bwindi is a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Kibale Forest National Park

Kibale has no fewer than 11 species of primate: red-tailed monkey, blue monkey, olive baboon, chimpanzee, black, white and red colobus and white-cheeked mangabey.
