Fairest Cape Town In The World

Cape Town

In 1580, Sir Frances Drake declared the Cape Peninsula as the ‘Fairest Cape in All the World’. Cape Point is where the cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean on the west meet the warmer Indian Ocean waters on the east.  The Western Cape is home to Hermanus, boasting the best shore-based Whale watching in the world.

Day 5 Cape Town Departure

Welcome to Cape Town, affectionately known as the Mother City! You have a day at leisure and we
recommend that you visit the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront where you can explore the many boutique stores, watch the ships, liners and yachts or grab a bite to eat at one of the many great restaurants available. For breathtaking panoramic views of Cape Town, take the aerial route on the cable car to the top of Table Mountain.

The full day Cape Peninsula will take you along the Atlantic seaboard via Hout Bay, to the Cape of Good
Hope Nature Reserve and its scenic viewing point. You’ll stop at Boulders Beach to see the African penguins, and then travel through the naval port of Simon’s Town. Simon’s Town is situated in False Bay and is rich in history, character and atmosphere. Alternatively, take a full day trip to the Cape  Winelands. This is day of tranquillity and beauty in Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch in the Cape Winelands. You’ll get to experience the rich historical and cultural heritage while sampling wines of merit at local well known wine estates.

Not to be missed is a walk through the historic heart of the Bo-Kaap on a mini shopping safari where you will learn more about the cultural diversity that Cape Town has to offer, especially the Cape Muslim people with their South East Asian heritage. After the opportunity to interact with the locals and learn about typical ingredients, you visit a local family home and participate in a hands-on-fun-filled cooking session and demonstration before savouring a full traditional lunch.

Depending on the time of year that you visit this diverse and vibrant city, you will either participate in a full day Hermanus Tour or a Day Safari. The full day Hermanus Tour operates between July and November during Whale Season. Hermanus boasts the best shore-based whale watching in the world. You may be privileged to see the southern right whales at play! Alternatively, if your travel find you in the Western Cape during December and June, spend a full day at Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve, home to the Big Five, a true African safari getaway.

Today once you have had breakfast and checked out, you will be transferred to Cape Town International Airport for your onward flight home.
